AjayHow to add my father shares in my De-mat account?
Please contact with the IcIci bank Manger. they will tell you the information of the Joint De-mat account. How to add my father shares in my De-mat account?
Stage 1:
Get shares transferred from your father to you. You need to submit transfer forms alongwith share certificates and register them by paying duty.
Stage 2:
Get the physical shares ( once you got them transferred to your name ) converted in demat through your ICICI Direct account.
Another way to do this could be:
1. Ask you father to open demat account. Get the shares converted in demat form.
2. Transfer the demat shares by issuing DIS to your account.
This way you need not pay transfer charges, registration duties etc. And this is speedier, too. How to add my father shares in my De-mat account?
The shares have to be transferred in your name by your father through a Transfer Deed (Forms available with brokers and banks). Instructions may be given in the Transfer Deed to credit the shares to your de-mat account.
