Question about going to university?

I'm a senior in high school right now, and i'm starting to evaluate which colleges I want to/need to apply for undergrad.

I'm currently on a 3.9 Gpa (4.2 weighted).

I'm a member of the national cricket team of my country (U19),

I've participated in international tennis tournaments representing my school since Junior year

I've performed in 10 gigs since junior year (as i play the guitar and i've been singing since i was 7), and recorded a demo album of covers.

Since I also do cartooning, I have my own cartoon strip that I perfected over grade 9 and 10, and I submitted some of my strips to King Features and Universal Press Syndicate, but they got rejected however, I gained some contacts who later directed me to a camp on cartooning which i attended over the spring break of junior year.

In addition, I do a service every saturday, and volunteered in an NGO in my home country over the summer after Junior year. And i also did an internship with my father's bank.

But here's the thing. Apart from the cartooning, and the regular singing lessons, all my other activities and achievements occured by pushing myself to the limit and putting in all the effort I have in me to improve because I really really want and dream of getting into an ivy (Sounds far fetched, but Harvard was and is always the dream) and also because I had dreamed of achieving all of this by the time I finish High school.

The problem is, that during grade 10 (until which i had pretty decent grades but not many extra curriculars) I fell into a major case of depression, and I became suicidal. This eventually led me to become completely disconnected with the world. I stopped socialising, stopped all my activities, and my grades fell so badly that I couldn't get the courses that I needed for Junior year (My school is a very reputable school known internationally, and they have the "right" to kick out bad academic performers if they don't think they can cope with the course. [ This school system was different from the usual gpa system of grading, so i began my cumulative gpa from junior year]

So basically, I was wondering, Will universities not take my activities seriously because i managed to do so many of them in one year? And does being kicked out of a school ruin all my chances of getting into an Ivy? :( I heard that universities like it when they see improvements in a student's performances.

I know this was long, but I would really appreciate all the answers :)Question about going to university?
Hmm...first, realize how insane Ivy acceptances are. A friend of mine worked in MIT admissions, and cautioned me that it's very random. Even if you are highly qualified, that's no guarantee.

That said, you have a lot of incredible things about yourself, and given what you've done in the last two years, I think you definitely have a shot. Use your essay to tell them about your depression and all of your work to get out of it: they like when they can see that people have overcome obstacles.

You could probably see if they want you to participate in a sport--evidently, you're very good at tennis, so maybe you could play tennis for Harvard.

I think you definitely could have the potential to get into Ivies, but definitely make sure to apply to second-tier schools as well. Some unexpected universities give amazing scholarships; don't overlook those for fear of lacking prestige.

Good luck, congratulations for getting everything together so well! I hope you get in!
