The RBI has made a policy decision to that effect.From 1 st of A April 2009,an ATM card holder can draw money from any bank ATM free of cost.
It depends upon Syndicate's policy. They may have a fee for using other ATMs and that should have been explained when you got the card. It should also be mentioned in their fee structure which should be available as a document in each branch or on line. Maybe. Most banks no longer charge THEIR customers for using ATMs they don't own. May still charge anyone that is not their customer to use their ATM. There should be a sign on the ATM that states any such charge.
